Blu’s Window Services (“Blu’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a window cleaning, pressure washing, soft wash, gutter cleaning and holiday lighting company based in Fort Worth, Texas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit bluswindows.com (the “Site”), submit a form, respond to our advertisements (including ads and lead forms on Facebook and Instagram), or otherwise communicate with us by phone, text, email or social media (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address and service address.
- Job and scheduling details: services requested, property type, number of windows or stories, preferred dates and times, access notes (such as gate codes or pets) and any other information you include in a message.
- Communications: records of calls, texts, emails and social media messages you exchange with us.
- Photos: pictures you send us of your property so we can quote the job.
- Reviews and feedback: information you share when you leave a review or respond to a survey.
Information from advertising platforms
If you submit a lead form in one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.), Meta shares the information you enter in that form with us, such as your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code and answers to any questions in the form. We may also receive information from Google (for example, through our Google Business Profile) when you call, message or request directions to us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies, pixels and similar technologies: small files and code (such as the Meta Pixel) that record actions taken on the Site, like viewing a page or submitting a form. See Section 3.
- Approximate location: general location (such as city) derived from your IP address.
We do not collect payment card numbers through the Site. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, health information or precise geolocation.
2. How we use information
- Provide quotes and estimates, and respond to your questions.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule and remind you about appointments.
- Perform the services you request and keep a record of past service.
- Send invoices, receipts and service-related messages.
- Send occasional promotions, seasonal reminders or offers, where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time).
- Advertise our services on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Google, and measure how well our ads work.
- Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- Protect the security of the Site, prevent fraud and spam, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Advertising, Meta & cookies
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To do this, we may use tools provided by Meta, including:
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API: code on the Site that tells Meta when someone visits a page or submits a form, so we can measure ad results, show ads to people who visited our Site, and find new customers who may be interested in our services. Meta may combine this information with other information it has about you, under Meta’s own Privacy Policy.
- Lead Ads: forms inside Facebook or Instagram that send the information you submit directly to us.
- Custom Audiences: we may upload hashed (scrambled) contact information of existing customers to Meta so we can show them relevant ads or exclude them from ads. Meta matches and deletes this data according to its terms; it does not receive your information in readable form from us.
You can control the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta Ad Preferences.
We may use Google services, such as Google Ads, Google Analytics and our Google Business Profile, to advertise and to understand how people find and use the Site. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Cookies and your choices
You can set your browser to block or delete cookies; some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
4. Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, you agree that we may contact you by call or text about your quote, appointment and service (for example, confirmations, reminders and arrival updates). Marketing texts are sent only if you have separately agreed to receive them. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or call (682) 201-4081.
- We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers who help us run our business and are allowed to use the information only to provide services to us, such as website hosting and form processing (Netlify), scheduling, calendar and email tools (such as Google Workspace and Zapier), customer management, invoicing and payment processors, and phone and text-messaging providers.
- Advertising partners, such as Meta and Google, as described in Section 3. Under some state laws, this kind of sharing for ads may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising,” and you may opt out as described in Section 6.
- Our crew members who need your address and job details to complete your service.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, a court order or legal process; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Blu’s, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: if Blu’s is sold, merged or reorganized, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
- With your permission, for any other purpose you agree to.
6. Your choices & rights
No matter where you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal or business reason (such as tax records).
- Stop using your information for targeted advertising, including Custom Audiences.
- Stop sending you marketing emails or texts. You can also use the unsubscribe link in an email or reply STOP to a text.
Residents of Texas and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws, including the right to appeal if we decline a request. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will verify your request by matching information you provide with what we have on file, and we will respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Retention & security
We keep personal information for as long as you are a customer or prospective customer and as long as needed to provide services, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as secure (HTTPS) connections and access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children, links & changes
Children. Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 18 for advertising purposes). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party sites. The Site links to sites we do not control, such as Facebook, Instagram and Google. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we will provide additional notice where required.
